Spiegeltents, monkeys and the burlesque – let me explain in case this sounds like a gap year diary confessional.
The spiegeltent was at the Canterbury Festival this year and was the perfect setting and atmosphere for Nina Conti’s comedienne and ventriloquist’s act (including a monkey) and the wonderful Lili La Scala (cabaret hostess and singer of vintage songs).
