I’ve always been moved by photography that tells a story on its own or illustrates a piece of writing.
With phones in our pockets it is less of a novelty for cameras to get into places that previously non-photographers couldn’t. The world is definitely smaller.
But there is still something special about a single picture that invites questions, challenges us or that provokes a reaction.
It can be of our next door neighbour or the local pub rather than an exotic overseas location. Everyone and everywhere has a story to tell.
