My personal view on boudoir is that in there’s a fine line which when crossed suddenly pushes boudoir into glamour photography. There is a classic form of photographing the body that is called commonly called art nude. Then there is lingerie as it would be shot for magazines, editorial and advertising. Whilst boudoir conjures up images of colour and indulgence, black and white can create a warm even though it’s stripped down to two channels of white and black. The images in this post are from of my Beautiful Monochrome sessions – not really boudoir, nor burlesque, just a careful use of light in black and white photography.
